The World: Tokyo - Webster promoted to chief executive at JWT Japan

JWT Worldwide has promoted the chairman of JWT Thailand, Mark Webster (pictured), to the role of chief executive at JWT Japan.

He will replace Ambar Brahmachary, who is departing the agency to join Young & Rubicam as the head of its Asia-Pacific region.

Webster started his career at JWT in the Hong Kong office 14 years ago. His time at the agency included spells in Vietnam and the Philippines, before he joined JWT Thailand five years ago.

Webster will begin his new role in January, working under Micheal Maedel, the president of JWT Worldwide.
