The World: Wellington - Ogilvy beats three in New Zealand Rugby contest

The New Zealand Rugby Union has picked Ogilvy to handle its advertising and media after a four-way pitch.

Saatchi & Saatchi, the incumbent on the business, was defending it against agencies including TBWA\Whybin, which produced the much-awarded "bonded by blood" campaign for Adidas and the NZRU, and Clemenger BBDO.

Ogilvy will also manage the media planning and buying, which was previously run by Starcom.
