WWAV Rapp Collins Media has opened its first European planning and
The agency has set up a joint venture with the Amsterdam-based direct
marketing company WWAV Van Rooij, part of the WWAV Rapp Collins
WWAV Van Rooij’s new media arm will initially focus on providing direct
response television planning and buying for Dutch charities.
Over the past few months WWAV Rapp Collins Media has been helping WWAV
Van Rooij run campaigns for Worldwide Fund for Nature and the Astra
Foundation as well as handling media for an emergency appeal for Turkish
earthquake victims on an informal basis.
Now WWAV Van Rooij’s managing director, Alphons Van Rooij, has pulled
staff across to the media venture, which he will head.
’This was our first tentative step across the channel,’ said WWAV Rapp
Collins’ managing director, Mike Colling. ’We repeated a strategy
already successful in the UK, that is to limit our initial work to the
