- Young & Rubicam has announced it has transferred the running of its Eastern European operations to a new Management Centre in Vienna, Austria.

The Management Centre for Eastern Europe will be headed by area director Herbert Putz. The centre will take over some regional tasks previously fulfilled by Y&R offices in London and Frankfurt.

The move is driven by increased activity in the region among core Y&R clients, which include Colgate Palmolive, Ericsson and Ford.

The Centre will handle strategic planning, account servicing and coordination of all Eastern European activities.

Y&R currently has eight offices in Eastern Europe, including Budapest and Prague, as well as and cooperation agreements in a number of other Eastern European countries.
