Y&R picks up Chanel in UK, US and Canada

– Chanel has appointed Young & Rubicam to handle its advertising in the US, Canada and the UK as part of a worldwide restructure.

As part of the changes, The Media Edge will in future handle all Chanel's media planning and buying in those countries. In the UK, where Chanel has spent £4 million in the last 12 months according to MMS, the agencies replace D'Arcy and Mediavest respectively.
