- Charles Dunstone's Carphone Warehouse has handed Young & Rubicam its centralised £15 million account.
Lowe Howard-Spink, Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters and the Brasserie all pitched for the business, and were informed this morning (Tuesday) of Dunstone's decision.
Carphone Warehouse decided earlier this year to centralise the advertising for its Carphone Warehouse, Tandy and Tecno brands into one agency. Y&R was the incumbent on the £3 million Tandy account, while the Brasserie handled Carphone Warehouse. Tecno, a photographic chain, was handled in-house.
The pitch was originally called by Lesley Angus, the company's marketing director, who quit earlier this month.
