Reed Exhibitions, the show's organisers, and Haymarket Publishing, publisher of Marketing Direct, are launching IDMF Online at the IDMF on 4 March.
IDMF Online is a virtual version of the show and will be 'live' for 365 days a year. Exhibitors can book show stands, and there will be seminars and a chatroom called 'Meet at the Bar'.
Visitors need to register to gain entry, with their details being passed to those stands they visit.
Exhibitor fees range from £1,000 for a basic stand to £3,000 for a stand with extras, such as a display screen for Powerpoint presentations.
