Anyone who wants to know if FMCG companies are bringing back media spend will be watching Unilever's third quarter results closely on Thursday. The FTSE-100 company has promised to increase media spend in the second half of the year, after slashing agency fees by about 17% in the first half. 

Tuesday is another key day for results as Asos, Moneysupermarket, Virgin Money and Merlin Entertainments all report to the stock market. 

Meanwhile, the string of high-level departures in the UK media agency scene continues to be the hot talking point. It was certainly the talk of last week's Media Week Awards, where Goodstuff Communications was named Agency of the Year and Digital Cinema Media won Sales Team of the Year.
