Swedish auto brand Volvo worked with agency TRO to activate its sponsorship at Camp Bestival. Named after a concept in Swedish culture whereby people take a break out of their busy schedules, the 'Fika by Volvo Cars' hideaway hosted free kids craft activity sessions throughout the day as well as complimentary refreshments and sweet treats.
Jeep offered visitors the chance to take part in an off-road obstacle course at this year's Farnborough International Airshow. Jeep, the official vehicle supplier to the show, which took place in Hampshire from 11-17 July, had its entire range on display, including the Hardcore 4x4 of the Year Wrangler, 4x4 of the Year Renegade, the legendary Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. The brand also celebrated its 75th anniversary at the show, with special anniversary editions of the Renegade and Cherokee models on display.
Rolls-Royce shipped a selection of its latest models to Ibiza to be put to the test by VIP guests. The British car brand supplied luxury holiday rental firm Chic Ibiza Villas with seven brightly-coloured vehicles to be used for test drives, complimentary airport transfers or chauffeured drives for special days or nights out. The fleet, which arrived in Ibiza on the 27 July and left on the 12 August, consisted of a Black Badge Ghost – never before seen on European roads – three Dawns, two Wraiths and one Ghost.
Mercedes-Benz launched a pop-up store in August at St David's shopping centre in Cardiff, Wales. Visitors could view two models on display, an A-Class hatchback and GLA SUV, as well as explore the entire Mercedes-Benz range on interactive touch-screens within the space, designed by The Green Room. Test drives at the Mercedes-Benz retail outlet at Cardiff Gate Business Park could also be booked in-store.
Renault created a family zone where visitors could get to know the car brand's new vehicles and charge their phones' battery at the Renault ZOE 100% electric charging tower, while children could enjoy a 24-foot climbing wall.
