An experienced, creative and conceptual Copywriter with experience within the Fashion, Retail or Lifestyle sector (in-house or Agency) is urgently required by a globally respected, premium fashion & lifestyle brand.
You will join a team of successful creative's working within a vibrant studio on a variety of highly creative and fun projects for this a brand renowned for its creativity and style.
As a vital part of the Brand Communication team, you'll be the first port of call for all things 'copy', ensuring tone of voice and brand handwriting are evident at every turn, while writing a veritable array of communications.
As the voice of the brand and storyteller, you'll need a natural flair for words, a good vocabulary and confidence in bringing your ideas to life through copy. Above all, they need someone with a strong eye for spelling and grammar and a quirky sense of humour that they can translate into words and bring a spirited wit to their communications.
The role includes writing and overseeing the creation of copy for in-store communications (for signage, windows and store design), marketing collateral and license products, as well as emails and websites.
You'll write copy for their product packaging, be it hidden brand messages, swing tags or creative descriptions on toiletries and cosmetics. You'll find yourself writing plenty of backstories to accompany new launches, as well as contributing creative ideas and concepts for seasonal brand campaigns and marketing projects - both in the UK and around the world.
You'll also be writing press releases for thier seasonal collections, as well as all manner of brand communication, both internally and externally.
You'll have at least 3 or 4 yrs experience in a creative writing role, ideally from an agency or another fashion, beauty or lifestyle retailer, and possess an impeccable eye for spelling and grammar.
An interest in retail or fashion would be a great help, and, as you'll be developing creative ideas with designers, a general awareness of the arts (design, film, music, fashion etc.) would come in handy.
You'll need a positive, can-do attitude and an inquisitive, critical manner. You'll need to be pretty organised as you'll often be juggling multiple projects, so keeping a cool head while multi-tasking is essential. Also, it's important that you're able to confidently build relationships with all different types of colleagues in all areas of the business.
Overall, you'll need to be a brand ambassador, ensuring that your copy and creative ideas are inspirational and engaging, while reflecting the brand in all markets.
