THE COMPANY

This well-known brand is a global retailer of premium quality sweet treats and with offices internationally they are one of the leading brands within the confectionary industry world wide. The brand first came to London over ten years ago and they have built an outstanding reputation through opening stand alone stores, as well as partnering with other well known retailers, and creating a strong PR presence as well as attending events and festivals.

Not only does this fantastic brand produce a host of delicious treats and snacks for customers to enjoy, they are immersing the customer into the brand through a variety of festival and outdoor events across the UK! Over two years ago they launched their Events & Festival department and have attended over 100 events ranging from festivals, concerts and activations at large-scale venues.

THE ROLE

Now at an exciting point in their growth plans, we are recruiting an Events and Festival Manager to join their team and help drive the business forward, whilst ensuring customer and brand experiences are delivered successfully. As an Events and Festival Manager you will help grow the events and festival arm of the business, through introducing new ideas and concepts and ensuring that they represented at the right events with the right target audience!

This is a broad and hands on role which will involve;

Working with Senior Management and developing events/festival strategy
Developing a schedule of events
Carrying out industry research
Building the business and maximising opportunities
Developing and growing relationships with stakeholders / venues / events / festivals
Ensuring successful brand experience at all attended festivals and events
Managing and reporting on budgets
Managing event logistics and operations (catering equipment, festival trailers, menu choices, pricing, retail assets)
Liaising with suppliers
Overseeing the delivery of events and attending events when required

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for candidates that have experience working within the festival / outdoor events sector - ideally where you have launched / grown the revenue of a retail/FMCG brand within this sector. We will also consider agency candidates that have work on a retail/FMCG account where you have delivered events and experiential projects.

It is important that you have the commercial ability to drive new business revenue, grow and develop relationships as well as oversee the delivery of the event. Oh and of course have a sweet tooth!

Due to the nature of this role they would like candidates to be based in the London and Surrey area as most of the work in in London / M4 corridor area. You will be given autonomy with this role and there is flexibility of home working with travel as required.
