ACCOUNT DIRECTOR – Retail & Experiential - £40k-£55k plus great perks

EXPERIENTIAL/RETAIL agency are on the hunt for a superstar ACCOUNT DIRECTOR to lead their rapidly growing retail and experiential arm.  Managing a team of talented reports and clients, this role calls for an ambitious, decisive and energetic Account Director who is equally comfortable providing direction as they are rolling up their sleeves.

Reporting directly into the head of retail and co-founder you will be responsible for nurturing existing relationships with leading global brands, helping to deliver best in class projects, as well as bringing on exciting new partners.  

The agency is fast growing in the experiential and retail arena as well as licensing - they work with some of world’s leading brands across FMCG, games, retail and drinks. 

They create pop up shops, retail experiences, brand experiences, events and experiential marketing campaigns and offer a unique blend of strategic creative inspiration and commercial pragmatism.

The ideal candidate will hit the ground running and has solid experiential, events, retail experience.  Gravitas is key for this role as is the ability to hold your own with clients, so plenty of autonomy on offer. The role is full-time and permanent and will give you the chance to mould a career in a hungry and fast-paced environment.

The Day Job

Inspiring, organising and coaching a fantastic team. You will report directly to the Head of Retail.

  • Client management. Key client lead on key accounts 
  • Strategic thinking. Framing strategic and creative responses to client briefs working alongside Planning Director and Retail Director
  • Resource planning & Project Management. Leading and managing project teams. 
  • Team management – Role will have direct reports including project managers, account executives.
  • Budget control. Ensuring the profitable delivery of work across all retail projects
  • Creative – working with the in house design team to create best in class creative responses, designs and experiences.
  • Problem Solving. When things don’t quite go to plan being able to step back and with a calm head identify the solution
  • Business development. Spot new opportunities within new and existing clients.  Role will be heavily involved in developing pitches and proposals in response to client briefs.
