OLIVER is a rapidly expanding creative services agency with a twist – we provide our clients with bespoke dedicated agencies to meet their individual needs based within their offices.

Your key responsibilities as the Email Campaign Developer will be to design, build and improve all email campaigns. You will be using the organisation's preferred software - Pardot to build HTML emails with a focus on testing and learning to improve performance. Reporting into the Campaign Manager, you will work in harmony as a team to deliver all of the clients email output and collaborate to improve email performance.

For this client we also manage all of their video and motion graphics output from an onsite studio, and there will be opportunities for the two disciplines to complement each other.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update existing responsive HTML email templates
  • Design and amend bespoke email templates
  • To work within an established brand style and improve the design output
  • Perform cross-client testing using Litmus
  • Perform AB testing with the support of the Campaign Manager with a view to improving performance
  • Adhere to production schedules set by the Campaign Manager
  • Provide best practice direction and solutions to email related challenges
  • Working closely with the Campaign Manager to review performance insight and make recommendations on ways to improve or enhance performance
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry best practice and continually reviewing our work
  • In the future the client is looking to implement automated email programs
  • Be pro-active in looking for opportunities to improve design and development – it’s a collaborative environment where your ideas are welcomed and encouraged


  • Strong knowledge of implementing responsive HTML and CSS, in particular with regard to email development
  • An understanding of email best practice and design standards
  • Knowledge of Pardot or similar Salesforce based platform
  • Attention to detail
  • Process driven
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills is a benefit, but can be developed in the role
  • Hands-on experience with an email platform is essential
  • Experience in an email marketing role
  • Wider knowledge of DM and digital marketing channels
  • Competent using PC
  • Knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop
