OLIVER is a rapidly expanding creative services agency with a twist – we provide our clients with bespoke dedicated agencies to meet their individual needs based within their offices.

As the Email Campaign Manager your key responsibilities will be to manage the relationship with the client and the flow of work into the Campaign Developer as well as assisting with specific stages of the development process, including deployment and reporting. You will be using the organisation's preferred software - Pardot. Reporting into the centrally located Account Director, you will lead the onsite team and be responsible for managing the Email Campaign Developer. You will work in harmony with the Campaign Developer to deliver all of the clients email output and collaborate to improve email performance.

For this client we also manage all of their video and motion graphics output from an onsite studio, and there will be opportunities for the two disciplines to complement each other.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with key stakeholders and cement a good relationship with the team
  • Adhere to production schedules and deadlines for all communications
  • Receiving briefs from stakeholders and ensuring these are coherently briefed into the Campaign Developer
  • Upload recipient lists into Pardot (in the near future this task will disappear as Salesforce data will link directly to Pardot)
  • Perform quality assurance testing on all outgoing email campaigns
  • Manage performance data, including importing and exporting from Pardot
  • Analyse performance data and extract insight and develop clear actions for testing
  • Have a good understanding of the clients business objectives and connect our work to them
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry best practice and continually reviewing our work
  • Provide best practice direction and solutions to email related challenges
  • Be pro-active in looking for opportunities to improve design, development and process and be confident as an expert consultant to the client – it’s a collaborative environment where your ideas are welcomed and encouraged
  • It will be your responsibility to drive innovation, whether that be through confidently presenting ideas or A/B testing strategies to the client or ensuring we pro-actively integrate A/B testing into briefs

  • An understanding of email best practice and design standards
  • Knowledge of Pardot or similar Salesforce based platform
  • Good data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Hands-on experience with an email platform is essential
  • Experience in an email marketing role
  • Wider knowledge of DM and digital marketing channels is a benefit
  • Competent using PC
  • Any knowledge of HTML and CSS would be advantageous
  • Any knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop would be advantageous
  • A passion for keeping abreast of current trends and standards in the email and wider digital world
  • An interest in design
