Senior Strategic Communications Advisor (SIO)
2 Marsham Street, London
Salary Range: £42,709-£48,984

Are you a senior communicator with strong agency or client side experience? Would you love to  work as a senior communicator dealing with some of the most important issues facing the UK?

The Home Office is currently seeking to recruit a number of highly talented, ambitious communicators who will report to their Team lead. You will form part of the Communication Directorate in a unit which is dynamic and fast moving. It supports the Home Office objectives on areas such as preventing domestic abuse; modern slavery and knife crime; as well as having responsibility for Border security messages; forced marriage; and immigration.

As a strategic communications professional, you will help to drive and manage all aspects of  communications working alongside marketing and insight professionals. The successful applicant(s) will be experienced in managing the development, planning and co-ordination of communication strategies across a range of channels including low and no cost and digital. With experience of delivering complex, multi channels strategic communications campaigns, you will be able to drive up the quality of deliverables and be able to work with competing priorities. Preferably with experience of working through partners and/ or managing agencies you will be adept at working with others. This is a really exciting opportunity to do a job that can positively impact on people’s lives.

The Home Office offers excellent career development prospects, competitive pension and benefits arrangements, and extensive professional support networks. Exactly as you would expect from a large, progressive employer like the Civil Service.

The Home Office is dedicated to promoting equality, fairness and respect. We will create a working environment where diversity is recognised, valued and celebrated.
