Senior Account Director opportunity at one of London's growing boutique agencies:

  • Progressive understanding and experience of the modern marketing mix with a focus on the benefits of brand content marketing
  • be a passionate advocate for the 'brands as publishers' model of marketing
  • be fully immersed in all digital and social media aspects of content marketing
  • devise content publishing strategies across multiple platforms for clients
  • demonstrate, and apply, a thorough understanding of the wider editorial publishing world (not just brand publishing) and an instinct for high quality, strong brand editorial content
  • always apply strategic thinking and analysis to ensure the content is always on brief, strategy and working towards achieving the objectives of the client
  • demonstrate a strong 'news sense' and ability to identify the core news value, consumer appeal and shareability in editorial work
  • keep up to date with emerging digital and publishing trends to inform content strategy
  • demonstrate solid knowledge and experience of SEO strategies
  • exercise ability to use learnings from analytics to inform and improve content strategies
  • monitor social and news media to identify timely stories relevant to client to both join and help shape the conversation
  • Contribute to new business and client development/growth by proactively seeking out potential new opportunities

Content Planning

  • Direct and manage the content planning and development of creative content strategies with a focus on digital platforms
  • manage creative teams to further develop creative concepts, angles and plan creative production
  • manage teams to produce editorial calendars, publishing schedules and work plans
  • plan account and creative team resource and work flows to ensure work can be delivered on time and within budget
  • direct and manage content generation including different styles and strategies of content such as always on, campaign, timely and search
  • understand and exercise best-practise with ability to develop and optimise content for digital channels including social media platforms
  • demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and consistent high standards during frequent periods of high volume content production to be delivered against tight timelines
  • tightly and effectively manage creative teams (writers and art directors) by drafting briefs, reviewing and assessing content, managing amends with creative teams and approvals with AD/client
  • manage teams to rigorously track and schedule content production to ensure deadlines, budgets and client expectations are always met

Account Management

  • Direct the development, implementation, enforcement, and consistent maintenance of the highest standards of account and project management in the industry including but not limited to:
  • Internal, inter-agency and client reporting, correspondence and communication
  • Team management and development of expertise
  • Financial management
  • Legal management
  • Publishing planning and production scheduling
  • Senior level client servicing to ensure growth and profitability of designated accounts & clients
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of client business needs, internal and external politics, budgetary constraints and communications needs with Director(s), lead the development of client briefs, strategies and campaign programs
  • Be accountable for all areas of responsibility on designated accounts/projects, ensuring all delivery meets required standard within budget and timetable
  • Drive all measurement and evaluation procedures in place on all projects to be used as an effective forward planning tool for all future client work
  • Implementation, maintenance, and development of operational systems to support the delivery of all activity
  • Effectively direct, manage and develop subordinate staff in team and external partners such as specialist consultants and third party suppliers
  • Prioritise & manage own workload and that of support team members
  • Apply proactive problem-solving to any issues that arise and keep line manager fully informed
  • Contribute to new business by proactively seeking out potential new business opportunities
