Design Team Leader

OLIVER is a rapidly expanding creative services agency with a twist – we provide our clients with bespoke dedicated agencies to meet their individual needs. As a Design Team Leader you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the work that passes through a dedicated team made up of two designers and a motion graphics designer for one of financial services clients. A fast-paced design-focused account you will also be required to spend 50% of your role undertaking design tasks. Working across digital and print based collateral, you will need to gain a strong understanding of the client and its customers. You will proactively manage and organise projects within agreed timescales taking into account quality, accuracy and consistency, and liaise directly with senior clients on a daily basis. We are looking for someone creative, highly organised, process driven and energetic, with a positive work ethic.


  • Working as part of a dedicated team, managing, scheduling and overseeing all artwork and design tasks that go through the studio team
  • Ensuring work is delivered on time, effectively managing team workloads
  • Ownership of conceptual projects – working with the client to deliver creative ideation across new product launches
  • When producing artwork, you will be working on both digital and print based projects including web and social imagery, digital banners, emails, posters, leaflets, flyers, brochures, infographics and more
  • You will be required to execute detailed amends to a very high standard of accuracy
  • You will be a strong designer with the ability to produce design collateral within brand guidelines
  • You will produce final files for print, press and digital to required standards, and oversee QC of the studio team
  • Liaise directly with the clients on a daily basis
  • Work closely with the client and team to plan campaign/project timings and input into any strategic projects
  • Leading the team to run efficiently and successfully, taking personal responsibility for delivery and management of the studio
  • Management of adhoc projects into the OLIVER central team
  • Producing MI packs on a quarterly basis
  • Management of GP and weekly reporting requirements

Experience & Skills

  • You will be a great team leader with a client centric focus and possess the ability to build strong and effective working relationships
  • Confident with client liaison, and have a proven track record of developing strong client relationships
  • You will have excellent digital and print artwork skills with strong Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines
  • HTML email experience is an advantage
  • Experience of working with financial brands is an advantage
