My client is a global media agency that is part of a full service marketing and communications network. They work with a number of leading brands across tech, retail, entertainment, financial services amongst other industries.
Head of Search/Biddable - The Role
The Head of Search/Biddable will be responsible for leading the strategic, commercial and operational delivery of the agency's search offer in the UK.
Head of Search/Biddable - Key Responsibilities
Strong commercial acumen. Evolve, codify and package this agency's search marketing offer (PPC & SEO) so that it becomes a driver of business growth in its own right
Proven strategic agility. Drive strategic leadership, always looking to improve the offering and capabilities. Lead clients' strategic direction, pushing them and the agency teams to think strategically about all aspects of search marketing.
Work closely with wider media, analytics, creative and technology teams.
Business Acumen - a proven ability to gain and wield a deep knowledge of clients' businesses, not just from a search marketing perspective, but also from a marketing perspective and beyond.
Be up to date on search, marketing and business topics, understand clients' pain points, look for "teachable" moments with junior employees.
Innovative Spirit - always challenging "the standard" in search and bringing new kinds of SEO and PPC solutions to the table. This person must know how to teach people how to become idea people, be a master at the art of selling in an idea, and be looking for innovation everywhere.
Leadership - the ability to seamlessly manage multiple clients and maintain a superior level of client satisfaction.
Strong Communication Skills - excel in the new business arena and foster a very tight relationship with other teams.
Head of Search/Biddable - Key Requirements / Skills
Immersed in the latest search R&D, including search engine algorithm updates and the shift to voice search presaged by smart speakers, NLP and AI
Deep knowledge of all strategic, technical and operational aspects of enterprise level SEO and PPC, with experience of having led large scale international clients
Experience in integrating search strategy and implementation within the wider media mix
Ability to articulate the commercial value of search in front of senior stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders within the business to achieve project goals
