This is a busy and exciting time for us: under the devolution agreement and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London.

Our portfolio of assets is growing significantly due to the evolving transport landscape. This presents a huge opportunity to grow revenue and deliver value to the organisation, protect the delivery of essential services to the residents and businesses of Greater Manchester and to support the growth agenda of this dynamic city region. We are seeking an experienced, innovative, entrepreneurial and business development focused professional to ensure we maximise this significant opportunity.

As Commercial Sales and Sponsorship Manager for Transport for Greater Manchester you will be at the forefront of generating income and value which supports our Commercialisation Strategy. You will have significant targets to hit so you will need to maximise the opportunity from a range of existing assets from the likes of data and wifi to digital and brand. You will identify new revenue streams, develop sales and sponsorship opportunities and successfully take them to market. You will be highly motivated, a keen negotiator and thrive on securing a successful deal. You will have extensive business development and/or sales experience and a proven track record in identifying, managing and building revenue streams. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability in building strong relationships with internal colleagues and external partners. It is also important that you have a creative flair in both your approach to developing opportunities and ideas generation.

This is a 2 Year Fixed Term Contract.
