Lead a step change in Barnardo’s approach to moving image and play your part in ensuring that children and young people across the country enjoy brighter, happier futures.
At Barnardo’s, we believe in children. Our purpose is to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children and you can be a part of it. But to make that happen, we need to inspire people and influence the way they think. We need to get our messages across powerfully and memorably. We need to make deep emotional connections with our audiences.
You can help to shape and develop a unique approach to filmmaking and photography that is distinctively Barnardo’s. You’ll lead all aspects of our moving image work, from delivering short film projects yourself to commissioning and managing other filmmakers, developing briefs, uploading content and archiving our entire stock of films and photography.
With a strong track record of professional filmmaking, you’ve proved your ability to take an initial concept through all stages of development and pre and post-production. An in-depth knowledge of digital techniques and systems is also important, along with strong editing skills and experience of organising all aspects of shoots, including sourcing models, locations and materials.
Of course, you’ll need real creative flair too. You can bring a fresh angle to filmmaking that has a positive impact on our work and your future. But this should be combined with the drive and tenacity to deliver projects on time and within tight deadlines.
