The Role:

The Head of Paid Search is a senior leadership role that will be vital in contributing to developing the strategic direction of the Ecselis business to achieve commercial growth and success. Working alongside the Head of SEO, Head of Planning and Chief Performance Officer, they will do this by developing a market leading Paid Search proposition and then executing this proposition through their leadership of a team of 30 Paid Search specialists.

The role will comprise Operational, Strategic and Commercial responsibilities and is a fantastic opportunity for those with an entrepreneurial spirit, looking to drive genuine innovation for the agency and it’s clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver a market leading Paid Search proposition and take an active role in collaboratively driving overall product development.
  • Lead the creation of best practice strategic approaches, ways of working and executional guidelines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key vendor partners, search engines and technology suppliers to stay ahead of latest market trends and developments.
  • Seeking out new opportunities to develop and productise additional services that will benefit clients business success, improve the teams efficiency and effectiveness and deliver additional revenue streams.
  • Develop the Paid Search team to ensure that our people are at the top of their game, including qualifications, training and building expertise
  • Ensure that there is a culture that emphasises the importance of personal development and that there are plans for all direct reports ensuring SMART objectives are set
  • Develop, maintain and grow strong relationships with senior clients and support the Managing Partners across the group in delivering innovative Search strategies for their clients.
  • Be the senior escalation point for Havas Media and Arena Media Paid Search issues
  • In coordination with senior Havas Media and Arena Media teams, identify opportunities for organic growth
  • Responsibility for maximising revenue growth and managing resource cost
  • Develop new revenue streams through productisation of services and expansion into new areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the Ecselis leadership team to develop and articulate the Ecselis proposition both internally and externally

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone who has demonstrable experience of a senior level paid search role who has operational experience of running teams, including resource planning and revenue management.

This is a real leadership role and we are looking for someone with an impassioned and compelling opinion on the state of Paid Search – today and for the future. Additionally this role needs someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is able to create and promote additional services to drive revenue.
