Our client is now ready to invest in a new business in the UK. This new service has an impactful, valuable, and significant mission – to reduce excess costs in the UK healthcare sector by possibly removing the middle layer in the hiring market, etc. Their aim is to disrupt and then stabilize the healthcare hiring market in the UK as there are lots of what they see as “waste.”
They already have access to 220,000 doctors which make up most of the doctor population in the UK. They can also access shift vacancy information. Therefore, they already have the important pieces of the puzzle, to start making a difference in the market. This role’s mission is to create a business strategy and project manage the planning and the implementation phases of the new Recruitment business. This role will require somebody with extensive experience of business strategy planning and project management, ideally from a start-up environment. Experience in healthcare/NHS with an existing network of NHS contacts would be a plus. Any knowledge of healthcare recruitment would also be beneficial.
You will be an experienced and strategic business strategist, with the role requiring you to have full project responsibility to plan the business strategy together with the Head of Careers and drive each of the project phases to the finish line. You will become a core-member of a start-up team tackling various tasks to drive the new business to success. They are aiming to create a service to effectively connect the doctor members of with many vacant shifts in primary and secondary care settings.
You will be a self-starter, comfortable with driving your own tasks from a standing start. You will have excellent data analytical skills and proven, demonstrable track record in project management and meeting/exceeding targets. You will be strong with numbers and utilize your strategical and logical thinking. You will also grasp the business requirements/goals and deliver with ownership. You will influence other members (both internal and external) to help them deliver their responsibilities in time and ultimately reach the business objective.
It is essential to have a start-up attitude, with getting things done in a fast-paced environment and having an attitude to do whatever it takes to deliver results.
• Meet all business KPIs (as this is a start-up, KPIs will be reviewed when necessary in line with the business. The main KPI will always be business performance.)
