Performance Marketing Manager - The Company

My client are a lifestyle etailer who's mission is to create products that help people lead happier and more relaxed lives. They're champions of serious quality and good old-fashioned craftsmanship. And they only make stuff that they'd enjoy in their own homes... preferably with a cup of tea and a great big slice of chocolate cake.

They're on the look-out for a Performance Marketing Manager to own and manage their direct response marketing channels including paid and organic search, paid social, display advertising and direct mail. You'll be absolutely obsessed with managing and optimising campaigns in order to smash sales targets and deliver the best bang for their buck from their performance marketing. They've got plans to go big and this role will be crucial in helping the business grow through new customer recruitment. Their performance channels are absolutely critical to their success, so they're looking for a super smart A-player with bags of passion who'll play a pivotal role in taking them to the next level!

Performance Marketing Manager - The Role

Paid Search
Plan and manage PPC (paid search) activity across Google and Bing to hit sales and ROI targets for this key channel
Build and continuously optimise campaign structure, keywords and audience lists
Daily management of bids and budgets to maximise returns
Write, test and optimise tightly-targeted, on-brand ad copy and extensions
Manage and optimise their Google/Bing product feed and Shopping campaigns
Collaborate with website team to optimise landing pages and the user experience

Paid Social and Display
Roll out communications plans and campaign messaging across paid social and display channels
Develop, execute and test audience targeting tactics in order to optimise campaign performance
Create and test compelling ad creative for Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, refreshing ads on a regular basis
Brief creative team on any design requirements for paid social and display campaigns
Direct mail data planning
Work with a third-party agency to plan and buy cold data for our regular direct mail campaigns
Report on campaign performance against targets
Oversee the output of mailings by our Marketing Data Analyst, ensuring we're working to agreed schedules
Collaborate with Marketing Data Analyst to define and conduct the analysis required to identify mailing performance drivers. Use resulting insights to improve future campaign profitability.

SEO
Track and report on performance against key SEO metrics include rankings and traffic, link profile and crawl stats
Understand drivers of search engine performance of the Loaf.com website and provide recommendations to improve
Research target keywords and write keyword-rich, Google-friendly web content (meta tags, alt tags etc)
Liaise with website team and developers to drive technical SEO optimisations
Work with PR and content team to ensure production of SEO-friendly content
Conduct testing and analysis to evaluate impact of SEO techniques
Strategy, reporting and analysis
Guide channel-level strategy and identify opportunities for growth, testing or refinement
Manage optimum tracking and attribution set-up
Report against KPIs and provide insights into performance drivers
Stay abreast of industry developments and drive new initiatives
Contribute towards yearly marketing budgets, KPIs and sales forecasts


Performance Marketing Manager - Key Skills

At least 3 years' hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns
1 years' experience managing at least one of the following: direct mail, paid social, display
A passion for digital and a desire to test new features and to stay ahead of the game
Outstanding analytical skills and a good head for numbers and statistics
A curious and inquisitive mindset - the sort of person who just loves to geek out on data
A rigorous and disciplined approach to testing new ways of doing things and letting the data inform which way is best
A real can-do attitude with a willingness to muck in, get on with the job and make great things happen
Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
