We are the fastest growing student review website in the UK. We are a hard working team of proactive self-starters based in the heart of Angel, London. We recently became part of global digital agency with offices in Brighton, Portsmouth, USA and China, making it an exciting time to join us as we look to dominate the UK student market and expand internationally with the support of our parent company.

What’s the role all about?

You’ll be a key member of our marketing team, responsible for developing and implementing an agreed SEO strategy to dramatically increase organic traffic and become the number 1 ranked student review website. You will work closely with the Managing Director and marketing, analytics & development teams as we look to leapfrog our competitors in the search rankings for relevant terms!

SEO Manager Key Responsibilities:

+ Proactively define best practice methodology
+ Deliver on-site and off-site SEO campaigns in order to increase performance and drive success based on agreed KPIs
+ Recommend on site and technical changes and carry out changes to the website as required
+ Carry out advanced and detailed keyword research to identify the most effective and targeted key phrases
+ Produce detailed technical SEO reports for the management team
+ Analysis of competitor SEO techniques in order to replicate and improve

About You:


+ 2 + experience in SEO, ideally having worked directly for a brand with proven experience of growing their search presence.
+ Confident in your ability to use clever, market-leading SEO techniques to supersize our organic traffic.
+ Deep understanding of search marketing and the factors that influence websites, search profiles and performance. Record of applying this knowledge to achieve results for a brand.
+ Passion for digital and a comprehensive understanding of the role of search alongside other digital channels such as PPC, Social, Display, UX and how to measure success
+ Comprehensive understanding and passion for digital, web analytics and PPC
+ Ability to conduct research and present back findings coherently
+ Ability to multi task in a fast-moving environment
+ Initiative and self-motivation
+ Excellent attention to detail
+ Strong excel and word experience
+ Confident communication skills

Technical Knowledge:

+ HTML knowledge & experience of Drupal would be beneficial
+ Experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, aHREFs, Brightedge, Linkdex and Moz
+ Experience with Google Analytics, Google and Bing Search Console and SEO performance measurement using these tools
+ Basic knowledge of Google Tag Manager
+ Detailed understanding of technical SEO best practice including HTML meta tags, URL structure, markup for desktop and mobile search
+ Knowledge of robots control and site indexing principles including robots.txt, meta robots tags, canonical tag, XML sitemaps
+ Up-to-date knowledge of key search algorithms and google best practice guidelines
+ Experience developing organic search strategies including site architecture changes, robots control,
+ Appreciation of UX best practice principles and how these should align with SEO recommendations
