Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to all areas of the business on marketing and communications best practice in order to develop the organisation's communications and marketing capabilities
  • Ensuring that all departmental output adheres to the relevant legal, compliance & regulatory frameworks and corporate policies
  • Identifying and improving processes to ensure greater joined up thinking and coordination
  • Being the voice of the client and helping the organisation understand how to satisfy their needs to enable delivery of business objectives
  • Managing external suppliers such as advertising agencies and digital agencies
  • Monitor return on investment of all marketing activity to ensure a positive return

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance business practices would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of modern marketing and communication practices
  • All round marketing ability with experience in digital, traditional below the line and above the line experience preferably in a professional services environment
  • Strategic campaign development. Ability to summarise a business plan and provide strategic marketing input to drive favourable results to achieve targets
  • Strategic thinker with strong collaborative and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Creativity
  • Business focused ability to manage resources, deadlines and budgets across all communication channels, whilst achieving the best result
  • Strong reasoning capabilities - creative and lateral thinking, combined with good problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, to build relationships across all levels of the organization and with external agencies
  • Extensive experience of B2B marketing with proven successes across the full marketing mix
  • Marketing or higher education qualification, such as CIM professional postgraduate diploma in Marketing
  • Experience of handling all communication channels internally and externally
  • Managing multiple complex projects
