Having full marketing budget ownership of up to forty events, there will be international travel in Europe, the US and Asia required, as you will need to be actively involved with their events on the ground as well as through the annual marketing cycle. You will be a high-profile figure within the business while working very closely with the leadership team of the company.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in creating and implementing innovative marketing strategies for a global events portfolio. You will know how to lead a team of marketers in remote offices and be able to inspire them to achieve delegate revenue targets for their events in their regions, whilst providing guidance and career development.

Your role:

  • Develop and implement a global marketing strategy for the portfolio.
  • Full responsibility for achieving delegate revenue targets; at the global portfolio level through to regional and individual event level.
  • Work with the Head of Data and regional Conference Directors to identify new prospect sources, and then work with your team to provide detailed briefs to the list research team. The success of lists need to be tracked and reports on ROI produced regularly.
  • Work with the Digital Acquisition Manager to maximise online sales conversion and revenues.
  • Work with your team to develop and refine benefit-led product propositions for each event and ensure these are present within all marketing copy.
  • Managing a team of eight marketers via 3 direct reports
  • Your profile: -

  • Proven experience in an b2b events marketing role with a global remit
  • Ability to utilise the full marketing technology stack including: email service providers, marketing automation tools, customer databases and content management systems
  • Knowledge of: dotmailer, WordPress, Sailthru, BlueVenn
  • Ability to write compelling benefit-driven copy concisely and clearly and coach/mentor a team
  • Line management experience
