As Marketing assistant your key responsibility will be to sell subscriptions (both through new and renewal channels) and to drive delegates for conferences, maximizing marketing returns through optimized use of data, Implementing direct marketing campaigns and support lead generation.

•    Implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns as agreed with the Head of Marketing, assessing the results and providing feedback
•    Implementation of social media and digital marketing initiatives
•    Assist in the understanding of user behaviour to evaluate and improve effectiveness of marketing activity 
•    Maintain the marketing plans for the relevant brands and conferences with activity and results
•    Liaising with all the data operations team to ensure that the appropriate levels of data are collected and managed professionally, cost-effectively, legally, and in line with relevant formats and standards
•    Process invoices promptly and accurately where necessary

•    Monitor competitor activity and relevant industry news for titles in the E&E portfolio
•    Gain an understanding of the broader objectives and strategies of the department and how they may contribute to them 

Knowledge & Experience
•    At least 1 year of experience in digital and direct marketing
•    Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
•    Good eye for creative and what works in a direct response environment
•    Copywriting skills
•    Ideally some experience with Google Analytics

This is a 9month, Fixed Term, Maternity Cover - with the possibility of extending to 12 months
We are looking to start someone in May 2018, where there will then be a short handover period
