Our print directory is a key part of the revenue driver within the Horticulture Week brand and as a result the successful candidates’ input is paramount to the success of the brand. As the Account Executive on Horticulture week, you will be responsible for increasing revenue generated by your allocated client base, ensuring that as a brand we are meeting and exceeding the annual revenue budgets across the complete Product team portfolio. This will involve focusing on sourcing new business alongside developing an existing client base using a combination of effective calls, correspondence, and where relevant, meetings.
Although this role is largely telephone based, some face to face contact is required to really help you get under the skin of your marketplace. You will be the key sales person leading on all three of our annual directories, as well being solely responsible for growing our currently under serviced accounts across all Horticulture Week sectors. Successful demonstration of this will lead to selling across our display and sponsorship portfolio with the view of moving up within the team. This brings with it potential to work out of the office, be it going on client meetings, tradeshows (both within the UK and Europe), and attending Horticulture Week prestigious awards you sell into. You will be working alongside senior sales team who have shown passion for the brand, consistently exceeds revenue targets and desire for continued growth and success.
We are looking for a go getter, someone who isn’t afraid to hit the phones, seek out new business and negotiate effectively to exceed their targets. You will be proactive and entrepreneurial, closing existing business and sourcing new business and prospects from our extensive database of industry contacts as well as personal research. As this is an entry level position, some sales experience is beneficial but not essential as our training sets the media industry's benchmark for quality, however to be able to hit the ground running we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following… goal-driven, with a professional attitude, great listening skills, resilience and a passion to learn and succeed.
