We have a unique opportunity for a Digital Content and Communications Manager to join our team, who will help to drive forward innovative and creative digital content approaches.  If you’re interested in this exciting opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.

You will develop and create audience-centric, engaging and innovative digital content to support our communication campaigns. As well as work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure content is widely distributed. In this key role, you will use your strong communication skills to deliver important news stories to a wide range of audiences, in an interesting, engaging and informative way.

Within your role you will: 

• Champion digital communications and provide advice/guidance to colleagues on the content development process 
• Create and edit high quality content including static images, Gifs and video  

• Develop and distribute high quality content that drives engagement with DfT 

• Work with digital and content colleagues to evaluate digital success and inform future content development 

• Create proactive content plans and co-ordinate the digital communications handling for campaign moments and announcements 

• Build effective relationships with external stakeholders and wider communications/policy colleagues

• Manage our social media channels

About you 
You will be a digital communications specialist with a background of developing and consulting on effective digital and multi-media content, suitable for use across a range of digital channels and for a wide variety of audiences. 

You will have the ability to create innovative digital communications that will stand out in a crowded market. With your excellent written and verbal communication skills you can adapt your style to suit the audience, and produce optimised content for digital channels.
