The Senior Account Manager role

A Senior Account Manager with a can-do approach and a passion for great creative will do extremely well here.  If you like to lean forwards with your elbows out and work closely with Senior Management on talked about work, then this is a great opportunity for you.

The agency wants to further build on its current success and is seeking a Senior Account Manager who gets brand strategy but who also enjoys getting stuck in.

The Senior Account Manager will be getting their fingers sticky on a well-known confectionery account and will be taking to the catwalk with a fashionable clothing brand.

Both of the accounts are UK based and the agency is leading the creative development so the Senior Account Manager will be handling accounts that are all origination with an entrepreneurial feel and a quirky approach.

The “sweeties” client is “terrific” and has huge ambitions for the brand.  Their position in the market has fallen behind recently thanks to competition from “own brands”.  But there is a new strategy in place and the client is looking to re-position and help the brand get its mojo back.  

Cue – award winning work!  

This is a very exciting time to be joining the account.  The Senior Account Manager will be handling a lot of above the line, including TV, in addition to social content.

The “catwalk” account is very much a challenger brand in an over-crowded sector that is constantly jockeying for position and jostling for standout.  There is a small budget with big ambitions.  

The “friendly” client is keen on great creative work but the agency has to be clever about the budget.  This account brings the enjoyable challenge and creative innovation that comes from handling a challenger brand.  Again, the Senior Account Manager will be handling above the line and digital and social.

The agency has a lot of get up and go and this energy is felt by their clients who are a feisty bunch with huge respect for the agency and who expect to have their views challenged.

The Senior Account Manager can expect to be given a lot of autonomy and the headroom to manage their own campaigns and to run their own meetings with senior clients.  So the role would suit a Senior Account Manager who is happy to speak their mind and has the confidence to push back.  

Having said that, the agency is very supportive and friendly and takes a collaborative approach.  Although the Senior Account Manager will be busy handling exciting campaigns, this is a nurturing environment; not a culture of working late.
