Whalar is a platform that helps make the whole process of ‘influencer’ marketing easier and more accessible. Although we tend to call our ‘influencers’ Creatives with Influence, as we represent creative people (not names like the Kardashians).
Creative work is no longer coming from the advertising agency alone. It is coming from individual creative influencers who are at the cutting edge of digital platforms, producing creative at scale. It’s Whalar’s mission to give brands the power to authentically communicate with audiences globally. To help creatives quit their day job and follow their passions.

We launched in March 2016, and immediately attracted big brand names to the platform such as Dyson and Deliveroo. And we haven't looked back since!
Who We Are:
We believe in the ‘kaizen’ philosophy of continual improvement and that nothing is ever perfect - you just have to keep getting better. Skyscrapers are built brick by brick, as long as everyday we are all contributing that one extra brick, we will build something amazing.
We also believe in being a team and we love the word ‘yes’. No question is too silly and no job is beneath any of us. The (sometimes overused) quote ‘Work Hard and Be Nice to People’ pretty much sums up how we would like people to behave at Whalar. You spend a third of your life at work so we want it to be a super fun and inspiring place to be. We expect everyone to be nice to each other and when the going gets tough, we expect you to knuckle down, help each other out and work hard until the job is done.
Your Day-to-Day Work:
The Client Director looks after 4 Global teams. Each team is responsible for a set of verticals in which they are experts, and is structured as follows:
Commercial Lead, Client Lead, Client Manager and Client Executive
You are responsible for the 40+ clients in Whalar's portfolio, helping the team deliver strong strategic and creative work that lead to repeat business and longterm relationships.
You work closely with the Head of Commercial and Whalar's founders to bring in new business.
You constantly look for new ways of working, and you have a close relationship with Whalar's Head of Technology to ensure the platform is constantly improved to better fit the teams' and clients' needs.
You look for new talent for the always growing teams, both in the UK and the US.
Ultimately, you are responsible for the financial targets set for the year.
- Degree level educated
- No less than 10 years of client facing experience
- A good eye for high quality content that fits brands ranging from Dior to Knorr
- An entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in a start-up environment
- A proven track record of running a team
- Experienced in pitching and winning new business
- Experienced in implementing successful processes to improve deliveries
