So, this isn't your typical media agency planning/buying focused role, It's a bit more special than that. Now these guys are fundamentally a creative agency group who have always had a media planning and buying arm but it's never had its own brand. Now it does, and it's starting to make real moves with a flurry of brilliant business.
Now, as you've seen in the title, this role has a sport element to it! I cannot give too much away but I can tell you now, if you're into sport, it's a very attractive account for you to work on. The brand is somewhat of a challenger, but they are now investing heavily to disrupt the norm and stand out from the crowd.
Being honest with you, the team over there are great. The agency was re-branded around a year ago and they made some excellent hires, they have only just gone and done that again by hiring a brand new MD who has a solid strategy background from one of the UK's most sought after independents.
Back to the role. It's all about digital media planning and buying, both from a UK stand point and potentially some major European countries. You'll also have the support of a team of 6, giving you the time to work closely with the client on rolling out interesting digital focused cross channel plans. Just as an FYI, they spend quite a lot in digital and some in offline, if you have lots of experience in both, magic.
The client are currently driven of app downloads for a major sport streaming service that they are rolling out, so a background in direct response/acquisition marketing, is ideal! Display, Programmatic, Paid Search (PPC) and Paid Social are all a must!
