Business Development Director / New Business Director

This digital agency is seeking a Business Development Director / New Business Director to come in and join their agency. The Business Development Director / New Business Director will work in a new business team and you'll help build the new business strategy and pipeline for this agency.

The agency is a digital business, so we are looking for a Business Development Director / New Business Director who gets and understands digital. The agency work and produce all forms of digital comms and web design work, plus social and content activity. We are looking for a Business Development Director / New Business Director who has worked in digital and can talk to clients in confidence about digital solutions. 

The agency is a medium sized business (around 150+ people across 2 offices), and we're happy to look at a Business Development Director / New Business Director who is looking to be based in London or Glasgow. 

The Business Development Director / New Business Director will build their own new business strategy to target prospect clients, targeting them with smart comms to showcase the agency's proposition and offering, and you'll target and covert opportunities. 

The agency has brilliant case studies, and an award winning reputation. We're looking for a Business Development Director / New Business Director who can take ownership of certain target sectors, and together with the Head of New Business and senior management you'll target clients, provide RFIs and RFPs, attend chemistry meetings, take briefs and work on the pitch response with the agency team. 

Once converted and contracts are signed, the Business Development Director / New Business Director will pass the opportunity onto the agency account handling teams and you'll move onto the next new business opportunity.

We are looking for a Business Development Director / New Business Director who has a sales mentality, but also someone who can talk to brands / businesses in a commercial, strategic, creative and business transformational way. We need a Business Development Director / New Business Director who has the balance between understanding the importance of a healthy new business pipeline, but also speaking to clients in a way that's more consultative rather than pushy.

The key thing for this role is finding a Business Development Director / New Business Director who understands digital, web design and build, online comms and social / content. You'll be a Business Development Director / New Business Director who has worked in a digital environment and you should be able to talk with confidence about latest technologies and what might benefit brands. 

We're looking for a thoughtful Business Development Director / New Business Director, someone who is a team player and super organised with lots of leadership qualities and gravitas.
