A London Agency specialising in Brand Commerce and Shopper, which is part of a top ten integrated creative agency network is looking for a strategic planner to join an Insight & Strategy team and become a committed partner for a key client.

You will be responsible for taking ownership of the creative brief, ensuring there is a well defined business problem along with a killer insight, and selling in the work to the client. You will follow-up the creative outcome and ensure the work meets the needs of the brand, the shopper and the retailer.

The role & responsibilities

You will be the lead and client-facing strategist for BTL activation Portfolio with Shopper focus, driving strategically varied projects. You'll share thought leadership, developing points of view, delivering blog posts, and leading a bespoke monthly insights newsletter for your client. You will also participate in new business pitches as required.

Core skills

Experience in consumer experience, shopper journeys and omnichannel behaviours.

Experience in providing consumer & shopper perspectives and insights, including shopping & buying behaviour

Passion for helping brands embrace the future of retail

Experience in eCommerce

Keen interest in the fast-changing world of digital products and platforms

Skills for the role

3 plus years of experience in planning, a strategic account handler or at a direct brand focusing on retail and shopper. 

A passion for great ideas and what drives them

Ability to distill data and findings into simple, relevant and actionable insights

Strong analytical and intuitive skills

Assess and interpret consumer or shopper understanding – identify needs & knowledge gaps

Ability to inspire the creative process and support the development of creative ideas

Collaborative – strong team working skills but also a self-starter
