Strategic Communications Team Leader (Grade 7)

Salary Range: £53,887 - £62,239

2 Marsham Street, London; Apollo House, Croydon

Are you a senior communicator with strong agency or client side experience?  Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives working with talented colleagues who are driven to make things better?

The Home Office Strategic Communications team is a multi-disciplined team with experts in designing and implementing communications for behaviour change.  We work with professional colleagues across government, the wider Home Office and in partnership with some of the brightest and best creative, insight, and marketing agencies.  You will play a key role to help the Home Office meet objectives such as preventing domestic abuse, modern slavery and knife crime, as well as having responsibility for Border security messages, and immigration.

We are looking to recruit a highly talented, ambitious strategic communications team leader who will report to the Head of Unit. The successful applicant will be very experienced in leading on the development, planning and co-ordination of communication strategies across a range of channels including low and no cost, and digital. This is a really exciting opportunity to do a job that can positively impact on people’s lives.

The Home Office offers excellent career development prospects, competitive pension and benefits arrangements, and extensive professional support networks. Exactly as you would expect from a large, progressive employer like the Civil Service.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity and inclusion at the Home Office. That means we are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive workplace where all our people are able to bring their whole selves to work and perform at their best.
