The Role:

We’re looking for a bright, organised and creative Community and Content Manager, with a LOVE of all things social. They will have a passion for current trends and be up to date with key happenings in pop culture as well as the world of social and digital.

The role requires implementation of social media campaigns and managing social engagement across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (and other platforms where relevant). The CCM will work closely with the  account team, aiding creation of content calendars, scheduling content, writing Q&A documents and responding to comments from consumers in a timely manner. Liaison with the media agency will also play a part in this aspect of the role.

As well as implementing campaign activity, they will be part of a small team responsible for monitoring and highlighting opportunities to jump on trends, relevant news topics and conversation. They will work with a planner to identify the relevant moments and be the catalyst for recommending and creating content to react to that moment. As such, the successful candidate should have basic design skills and software knowledge (e.g. PhotoShop / InDesign) as well as excellent copy writing ability in order to create content.

The role will require some weekend and evening work to support campaigns and reactive content. Where possible this will be pre-planned. This does offer some fantastic experiences for the right candidate; for example being part of a team that delivers live coverage of UK festivals, or captures event footage for use across brand channels.

In addition to creating content and managing campaigns, the CCM will have an involvement in the strategic side of the account. For example, they will be encouraged to make proactive suggestions on channel and content strategy and have the chance to input into campaign plans when there is a high level of Community Management involved in the activity.  The CCM will also be responsible for creating weekly reports for each brand. This will involve liaising with media and PR agencies, collating information and providing a top line analysis of the week’s activity across social media.

The role is client facing and the CCM will be required to obtain approvals from brand managers as well as legal and Corporate Affairs representatives, ahead of posting out content. Full training on compliance will be given, but the successful candidate should be able to show a high attention to detail, good client relationship skills and experience of adherence to brand and legal guidelines.

All candidates should be keen to be part of a close-knit team, and the role reports into an Account Director and Business Director, working with a Senior Account Manager, Account Manager and Account Executive.

Core Skills / Experience:

  • At least 2 yrs experience managing social media channels
  • A passion for social media
  • Knowledge of pop culture and trends
  • Strong understanding of the social media landscape and content that works on the key channels, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (and others where relevant)
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Proactive
  • Strong understanding of social analytics tools and reporting metrics
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and GIF creation. Basic video editing a plus
  • Strong and creative wordsmith and proofreading skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Great communicator
  • A self-starter with an eye for detail
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment working to tight deadlines with the ability to multitask
  • Experience of the alcohol/beer category would be a bonus
