Product Manager (Software), Cambridge - We have an exciting new requirement for a materials-focussed Product Manager with a respected software organisation in Cambridge, with experience in technical/scientific materials, or a degree in materials science, being essential. This technical materials exposure is more important than through and through Product Management experience, as this can be taught by the organisation.

With experience in technical B2B software or a scientific/engineering background useful, you will have ideally previously managed the product development for a niche software organisation. With knowledge of materials science, you'll have the ability to fully-understand the target audience, using your technical knowledge to drive forward the best offering possible. Working closely with partners, you'll be commercially-driven and be comfortable meeting with vital stakeholders, both old and new. A technical, engineering or scientific background really is vital here, as the software that you'll be developing is highly-niche, with a higher education in these fields being a significant advantage.

Eventually owning the product development map, you'll work holistically - from initial market research and data analysis through to product planning and final delivery - as well as continuous improvement of the final result. You'll work with technical partners to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness, using your knowledge of the scientific, engineering and software arenas to ensure that the result is a success. You'll also be involved in the marketing communications of the software, from official product offerings and product launches through to contributing to the marketing materials.

This is a highly technical role but offers an amazing opportunity with a client that we know well. Working with some global organisations, this company is respected and trusted in their field, and offers up a significant opening for real career progression, flexible working and an outstanding benefits package.

It's easily commutable from Huntingdon, St Neots, Peterborough, Ely, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Royston, Saffron Walden, Bedford, Letchworth, Hitchin, Stevenage, Bishops Stortford and Bury St Edmunds.

For registration purposes please could you let us know where you are currently based or which locations you are considering as well as your required salary and notice period.
