Interim Category Development Manager
Our client is a successful FMCG business with some amazing brands that have a cult following amongst consumers! Exciting brands like these need people with passion, energy and drive to tell their story and bring them to life with retailers. Our client is looking for someone with the ability to tell a compelling category story, build strong business relationships and deliver a best in class category management service for a fixed term of 6 months
Reporting to the Head of Category you will develop and execute the category strategy, delivering compelling category insights and selling stories to retail customers, driving growth in the category and market share. You will work cross functionally with colleagues in sales and marketing to share customer and category insights that support effective planning and execution of the marketing and commercial plans. You will go beyond sharing information by turning insights into action, building your influence with customers by working as a category partner and delivering results.
The ideal candidate will have both sales and category experience as the role with be customer facing and the ability to use insight to make commercial decisions is essential. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to present compelling, well constructed arguments to influence customers. National Account Managers with some experience in category are also encouraged to apply.
