Marketing Manager - Customer Acquisition

£40k+ depending on relevant experience, plus excellent benefits.

Our client is leading the charge in providing high quality affordable exercise facilities throughout the UK.

They are seeking to grow their successful team with the addition of a Marketing Manager to drive new customer acquisition and deliver a range of key commercial outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to support and take the lead on key initiatives alongside multiple outsourced agencies as well as internal and regional stakeholders.

The role:

  • Delivering on daily performance marketing objectives, ensuring all campaigns are delivered through project management, interpersonal skills and problem solving.
  • Supporting the key drivers of customer acquisition across new gym launches, ATL campaigns through a range of digital and offline channels, always-on performance marketing, and local gym-manager led activity.
  • Management of marketing campaign
  • Supporting the execution of acquisition strategy, including campaigns and offers to reach membership targets and lifetime value.
  • Managing the marketing portals and ensuring accurate delivery of marketing materials across all gyms.
  • Developing and activating short and long-term promotions with corporate and brand partners.
  • Managing and optimising digital paid media channels to deliver acquisition sales targets.
  • Managing and reporting on performance for the channels YOY against budgets and re-forecasts, providing insight commentary and action plans.
  • Continually bench-marking marketing activity against competition.
  • Working alongside agencies to deliver best in class creative in line with brand values.
  • Driving media strategy across all channels for customer acquisition marketing campaigns including "always-on" and bespoke gym launches.
  • Consumer PR, social media and sponsorship with key partners, to drive awareness, purchase consideration and advocacy.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across the business, especially operational staff and regional managers.
  • Managing, developing and updating brand guidelines.
  • Working closely with the web agency to drive effectiveness of the website as the main driver of customer acquisition.
  • Working closely with analytics teams and media agency to analyse marketing campaign success and make recommendations for improvements within the campaign calendar.
  • Day to day management of invoicing and tracking the marketing budget.

About you:

  • At least 3 years' experience of working in a similar role with accountability for customer acquisition of a B2C product or service proposition, preferably within a recognised brand.
  • A high level of self-motivation with the ability to work under your own initiative and unsupervised.
  • Multi-agency account management and stakeholder management skills/negotiation skills.
  • Proven expertise in delivering media and creative strategies across both online and traditional marketing channels.
  • Up-to-date experience of exploiting organic and paid search
  • High levels of analytical skills and data manipulation ability to pull insights effectively.
  • Strong process and project management
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, influence and persuade at all levels.
