Our client is an international independent publishing company and a leading information provider within its core markets. They provide high-value, specialist business information to the insurance, hedge funds and online gaming industries through magazines, events and community websites.

You will be a self sufficient, self motivated and results driven Commercial Manager who likes to lead from the front working of their Real Estate portfolio working in their modern media style offices in the city

The Job 

• Selling print and offline media packages, sponsorship for summits and tables at the high profile award gala dinners in Europe and the US 

• Working from their CRM system of leads -selling to B2B clients globally over the phone and face to face. Effective use of the CRM system to ensure accurate records and account management 

• Travelling  will be required from time to time

• Working closely with editorial and subscriptions, marketing and event operations teams

• Representing and selling the brands at specific industry events including their own 

• Ability to work independently is essential – and then also as part of a wider team

• Work towards a range of pre discussed targets to maintain and grow the portfolio business

The Requirements 

• Sales experience in publishing and events - either commercial real estate or financial services

• Confident and articulate – able to engage with the industry as the Commercial Manager

• Achievement focussed with good time management skills

• Willingness to be part of, and contribute to, a wider team including marketing and production

• Passion and enthusiasm to lead and drive your own business vertical

• Experience of working to targets and deadlines 

• Able to deliver under pressure

• Exceptional organisational skills

• Experience of a CRM system – preferably Salesforce

• Ability to network and engage directly with clients
