Job role: Policy and Communications Executive
Contract: 12 months fixed term
Location: Birmingham (Flexible working will be considered)
Our client has been delivering projects, programmes and services to transform lives and local communities for more than 35 years. This work is needed more than ever, but resources to fund it are getting scarcer.
Their ambition - set out in their 2020 strategy - is to build their visibility, their reputation and their resource base so that they can be a significant, radical, national force for driving change in attitudes, behaviours, places and prospects in the local communities that need it most.
Over the last two years building on their credibility as a 'national charity supporting local communities' and they have been building their profile so that they can unlock delivery resources from a wider range of sources are central to their strategy.
They have tested - and learnt from - a range of strategic positioning, awareness-raising and fundraising activities and have benefited from expert external support to refine their message and sharpen their plans.
Now they need to turn good ideas into reality and are looking for someone with the experience, creativity and drive to work as part of their team to shape a new narrative about their work and identify opportunities to build their profile and reputation.
If you are interested in this role you will have the confidence and credibility to deliver a programme of thought-leadership, public affairs and strategic communications activity aimed at building this charity’s profile and reputation among target audiences in support of national positioning, fundraising and marketing objectives.
They can be flexible in how they fill this role and on what terms.
