Business Development Director - London

Our client is a hugely well established consultancy who focusing on exciting projects that help to make a difference to people's experience of work. Whether it be helping people to be more engaged with their work, enabling them to be more self-aware, facilitating teams to be high performing, exploring a company or individual's purpose or supporting strategic thinking.

All in pursuit of creating engaged employees who enjoy their work and ultimately. deliver great business performance. They enable this to happen through facilitating events, 1:1 facilitation or coaching, leadership development programmes and facilitating team events. They can also produce and facilitate large company conferences.

Their client base is truly global - they have an office in both London and Singapore and This role is to focus on further developing the UK and European business.

They can proudly boast to have worked very closely with blue chip clients such as Shell, Coach inc, McDonald's, BP, IHG and Pixar.

As business development director you may have a background in sales and / or marketing and more latterly in consultancy - with a track record of developing new business relationships that translate into revenue / profit. It is expected that your experience lies in business development rather than delivering the client consultancy work.

Duties of the Business Development Director include:
*Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities including the revenue pipeline
*Raising the profile of the brand in the market place
*Provide feedback to the company on competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
*Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth.
*Working to stringent targets, the job holder will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business contact
*Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and identification of new markets
*Creating new strategic partnerships
*Writing proposals and plans

Requirements of the role:
*Superb relationship building skills
*An existing great network that you can draw on in businesses that may benefit from what the client has to offer and the ability to develop new relationships that you don't yet have
*Adept at translating business objectives into plans that the client can support the execution of
*Experience of working with senior management to align business development strategies and solutions
*Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
*Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
*Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
*Persistence, knowledge of the product or service
*Strong communication skills - an ability to convey complex ideas in a simple way that customers can understand and how it relates to their business strategy
*Dynamic, proactive and enthusiastic
*You have a positive mindset that looks for opportunities and possibilities - a glass half full attitude (!)
*You will need to have some flexibility in working hours as this may involve breakfast meetings, dinners etc.
