A Great job. You will be responsible for developing the display and creative solutions for this leading website in order to meet and exceed budgets. This role includes selling to and negotiating with media agencies and clients, generating proactive partnership and creative opportunities, targeting new sectors and developing existing clients. This role reports to the Ad Manager who is ultimately responsible for all advertising revenue streams for the brand.

Sales & account management of own client base to include: 

• Responsible for generating sales from client and agency base 

• Growing revenues & market share from partially existing client base and proactively developed new business 

• Required to make a minimum of 6 f2f meetings per week 

• Full management & servicing of digital agencies & developing deep relationships with relevant agency and direct contacts at a senior level 

• Full management & servicing of direct clients

• Feedback of all meetings & bookings via advertising sales list

• Accurate personal pipeline reporting & forecasting 

• Chasing copy where appropriate & full responsibility for all client & agency liaison 

• Online campaign delivery, management & reporting, working with Ad Ops & production 

New business responsibilities to include: 

• Ongoing competitor analysis 

• Develop strong understanding of competitor brands across print & online 

• Working with the Ad Manager & Insight team to closely analyse competitor activity & follow best practice to follow up, generate new business and increase market share 

• Identify new clients & sectors to target 

• New business pitching – both client direct & agency 

• Targeting relevant agency and direct clients with proactive ideas and solutions, to develop business that has not been briefed. 


• Digital sales experience required 

• Understanding of the digital marketplace, trends and innovation 

• Mobile ad sales experience beneficial 

• Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills as well as keen attention to detail 

• Strong new business skills and tenacious approach 

• Experience in developing and nurturing direct client relationships

• A strong team player with a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales revenues 

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and coordinate with multiple internal departments to deliver campaigns. 

• Able to work collaboratively with the editorial team to develop and deliver compelling client campaigns and proposals

• The ability to devise creative online cross-portfolio marketing solutions 

• Excellent knowledge and ability to apply all the latest applicable research and data within sales process 

• Sound understanding of ad ops processes, trafficking, reporting and campaign management 

• Exceptional communication, administration and business skills 

• Education preferably to degree level 

• Experience in Motherhood/ Parenting industry a plus/passion a must
