Part Time Strategy Director

We’re on the hunt for a Part-time Strategy Director to be responsible for the development and leadership of the agency’s strategic offering. As Strategy Director you’ll be working alongside our senior management team with the aim of winning new business as well as managing the strategic needs of our existing clients. You’ll also be helping to build and grow awareness of the Nice and Serious brand by acting as an outward facing thought leader.

Over the last 10 years we’ve been through an evolution; from a straight-up ethically-driven production company, through to a creative studio, and now to an integrated creative agency where we’re not only responsible for executing the end product, but also setting the agenda, developing the strategy, planning and delivering campaigns and offering brand consultancy. We love to create and make stuff. This will always be important to us, but, to really make an impact, we need someone to understand what our clients want and, more importantly, need.

Client Strategy

  • You’ll oversee the thinking and reasoning for the creative directions we take
  • You’ll attend client meetings and defend this reasoning to senior clients
  • You’ll create audience segmentations, personas, and help clients select the right channels 
  • On larger projects, you’ll run the immersion stage including stakeholder workshops, surveys, focus groups and interviews

Team leadership

  • You’ll be responsible for departmental vision, structure, and management
  • You’ll manage and mentor our junior Strategist to help develop their skills and experience
  • You’ll lead on Nice Works, our internal passion project programme, in collaboration with our Creative Director

New Biz

  • You’ll be the involved in the decision making on whether new briefs are right for the agency and discussions around how they can be turned into something that inspires our creatives
  • You’ll be leading the writing up of pitch decks along with the creative teams
  • You’ll be providing market research, analysis and insights into latest industry trends, figuring out ways brands and charities can connect with people

Business Strategy

  • You’ll be helping to grow and develop existing client accounts seeking out new opportunities to add value
  • You’ll be helping build and grow the Nice and Serious brand by acting as an outward facing thought leader
  • You’ll be representing the agency at conferences, events and in industry press
