ANIMAL CARE CLIENT - Must be an experienced Content Manager
A bit about the role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Content Manager to work in the newly formed marketing team for one of our key clients. This client has huge ambitions to become the leader in a new and rapidly growing category. You would be one of the first recruits in a marketing department which is set to double in size over the next 12 months. If you're entrepreneurial, goal focused and have a love of animals this is a great place to work. The role is based in Watford which is just 20 minutes on the train from Euston.
Reporting into the Head of Content, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a global content strategy, including content creation and managing content distribution and optimisation on our client's web site and other digital channels.
Responsible for the creation of content for client engagement, need to understand content distribution
Responsible for the company's online profile, updating and deploying content on the website
Measuring and reporting on the performance of content and digital marketing activities
Taking ownership of content storage
Providing ongoing adjustments to improve content performance
Maintain accuracy of all product information and imagery on site to ensure a great customer experience.
Liaise with internal teams (CRM, PR and Content) to ensure strong and prompt delivery of the content marketing plan
Deliver content to maximize the SEO strategy
Develop, manage and execute a content calendar based on search volumes, revenue potential and brand affinity
Identify key audience segments, build audience personas and define segment-specific content marketing strategies.
Using data to drive further decision making and reporting on effectiveness of content to senior management
Identify problem areas that may affect search engine rankings.
Monthly and quarterly reporting on activities and results against core KPIs along with recommendations on future strategy. Ensuring that content performance is measured through all stages.
Need to have good creative content oversight ability

Experience in data mining to provide insight
You must be assertive and authoritative, while good in a team
Be results orientated, by working autonomously and able to work independently, seeking out direction proactively - with a high personal drive
Ensuring high level of Quality content is produced
Experience with digital content as e.g. content manager, digital producer, or from a global content producing organisation
Up-to-date knowledge of what is going on in the digital lives of target groups (pet owners)
BA or MA in Media, Communication, Marketing, or equivalent experience
CMS type software experience
Experience using content planning software
