Digital Sales Director £100K basic+50K commission

Our client offers progressive online solutions that enable their clients to reach their engaged audience of business decision makers. They strive to understand their client's business goals and success metrics so that they create bespoke solutions that will deliver their target results.

They are looking for a capable Digital Sales Director to drive revenue generation across their rapidly growing portfolio of online communities. This role requires detailed coverage of existing products, as well as developmental plans to launch new product.

Their online community portals have engaged membership databases that give access to in excess of 10million B2B contacts. Through these portals they are able to offer multi-channel marketing opportunities for their clients, with thought leadership and branding key elements of their  offering. Leveraging their communities, they’ve also been able to grow their events business, expand their opted-in member communities in key sectors and reach hundreds of thousands of visitors per month. 

Core responsibilities of their future Digital Sales Director:

  • Manage a team of sales people across a broad range of online communities
  • Provide outstanding training and personal development plans for all members of the sales team
  • Assist with sales insight training for non sales team employees
  • Embed consultative selling techniques across the team so that all team members can offer creative and value-matched options to meet client needs
  • Build new client relationships and maintain existing long-term relationships
  • Identify prospects for all products, cold-call or set up meetings to reach new customers
  • Drive significant sales revenue growth to meet company goals
  • Track results and communicate forecasts on a regular basis
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up
  • Working closely with Marketing and Editorial Department
  • Sell lead packages, webinars, whitepapers, articles and online advertising


  • Strong leadership experience, with proven ability to create a high performing team culture
  • Relevant experience in online/digital sales
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Flexible and quick to act
  • Willingness to lead by example at all times
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, whilst also being a strong team player
