International Account Director Wanted for Global Play and Entertainment Brand!

Remit -  International TVC & Digital/Social Content Adaptation/Localisation Account

Background to the Agency

Our client is an international production agency providing print, digital and moving image services for advertising agencies and advertisers.  The London office delivers moving image/broadcast  production, post-production and adaptation services for a range of local and international clients, with a focus on international campaign implementation.

The Role

The agency has a significant piece of international business and they are looking for an experienced and strategically savvy Account Director with a deep knowledge of the EMEA localisation/post-production sector. The AD will lead the day-to-day account management team and the support the Managing Director, to ensure that the agency operates effectively, instils a strong client service ethic in order to deliver against their mandate to realise significant production savings and exceptional quality output for the client; and to deliver margin for the network.

The AD will take the day-to-day lead on growing the business as the world continues to be driven by the digital/mobile and content hungry economy as the agency looks to drive the growth of the account by creating, adapting, managing and distributing social/digital and mobile driven content.

The AD will be supported by an Account Manager whilst also working alongside the Managing Director to ensure the smooth running of the account, analyse and report activity, establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

This is a classic AD role but on the content production side rather than a traditional marcoms agency.

Key elements of the role include

  • Support the MD by driving the long-term relationship with the Client as their media strategy changes – focussing on digital/mobile channel content adaptation whilst continuing to deliver broadcast material. The long term goal to renew our relationship from 2019 with a renewed contract
  • Take the day-to-day lead in engaging with Marketing Directors & Brand Managers throughout EMEA to drive the social content agenda and conversation
  • Drive proactive and reactive initiatives in the social content/platform space that helps drive the short/mid-term growth and long-term relationship with the Client
  • Roll out of the business plan across Europe and beyond, in-line with the communication strategy and plan
  • Consolidation of this business, development and growth of the account – with the shift from broadcast to digital/social becoming ever more prevalent
  • Account Reporting & KPI measurement – and being able to articulate this data into meaningful local market info/reporting
  • Working with senior client and agency teams to ensure spend and savings are measured
  • Executive team engagement & management – client internal networks
  • Stakeholder / supply chain management / media agency relationship management
  • Liaising with production teams to ensure the smooth running of the account
  • Managing budgets and planning strategy for roll out to new markets across Europe
  • An ability to lead, structure and deliver presentations in conjunction with the MD
  • Analysis of media plans for reporting purposes
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills

You will take the lead day-to-day responsibility to grow this flagship account. Having traditionally delivered localisation and adaption in the moving image broadcast space, the agency are now faced with the challenge of the shift from broadcast led media plans to more content focussed media spend where the Client is looking to drive better bang-for-buck and an increased consumer engagement.

The AD will need to lead and drive the digital content agenda. This will require a deep understanding of the digital/social space and wider environment – from creative application to platform knowledge and expertise.

This becomes the agency’s opportunity to take what they already know and drive knowledge in the world of wider media content creation, adaptation and distribution for a global power brand.

Working with the AM and Managing Director you will build strong relationships with the Exec teams at European central and local client level.  You will manage the delivery of the communications plan that ensures all teams are engaged and informed of progress against the account at all times, and the reporting process across the account.

The Ideal Candidate

The agency are looking for someone who is a self-starter with a proven record working on international, high profile brands, with a good understanding of not only the world of TV/broadcast adaptation post-production but also the ability and experience to drive social/digital content creation/application whilst also having managed accounts that operate in a fast-turn around environment.  Having worked in an environment where adaptation and versioning would be an advantage. In addition, having fluency/knowledge of additional European languages would also be a plus.
