The Client

A market leading global organisation are looking for an Employee Insight Manager. The organisation is an innovative place for employee insight - they're one of the best because of the resource and complexity of what they do. This FTSE 100 company have around 7500 offices in over 80 countries, and employ over 85000 people in Europe, the Asia-Pacific Region, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East. Their new head of insight did an interesting talk at one of our coffee mornings and is an old client from the agency we worked with.

The Role

It is an Insight Manager role, with a mix of quant and qual, managing agencies as well as some hands-on work. The crux of the role is providing ground-breaking insight, employee insight is key to how they work, with significant backing from the board. This can be quantitative, but they feel that good employee engagement work cannot be measured and optimised by a traditional survey. They use qual techniques and often get peers to discuss work and culture in a 1-2-1 discussion or in a group. They believe that working that way brings up things that wouldn't surface otherwise.

Your Skills

The role holder will need to be able to develop large datasets by conducting primary research and be able to turn them into insight with a clear narrative and call to action. They will be required to advise on the right methodology for additional insight required by the business, along with a broad understanding of business issues - to be able to connect research to those issues. The successful candidate will have the cultural awareness and stakeholder management skills to be able to build strong relationships with communications and business colleagues across multiple geographies. Management and reassessment of operational risks and implementing the compliance policies will also be a part of the role.
