Exciting brands like these need people with passion, energy and drive to tell their story and bring them to life with retailers. Our client is looking for someone with the ability to tell a compelling category story, build strong business relationships and deliver a best in class category management service.
Reporting to the Sales Director you will develop and execute the category strategy, delivering compelling category insights and selling stories to retail customers, driving growth in the category and market share. You will work cross functionally with colleagues in sales and marketing to share customer and category insights that support effective planning and execution of the marketing and commercial plans. You will go beyond sharing information by turning insights into action, building your influence with customers by working as a category partner and delivering results.
The key remit of the role is the development and implementation of the short and long term category strategy across all grocery customers, harnessing the talent in the team to deliver the plan. Utilising shopper and category insights the Category Lead will identify actionable opportunities to gain competitive advantage. By providing a thorough understanding of the customers strategy and needs you will leverage these insights to influence the sales and category strategy for key accounts.
This is a high profile role that requires a talented, ambitious individual with a talent for strategic thinking, team leadership and influencing. You will be commercially minded with an excellent track record of delivering results in a senior category management capacity. Team development and leadership experience is essential and you will be able to demonstrate your ability to win hearts and minds to inspire your team.
