A not for profit education trust is looking for a media manager to help cover a period of maternity leave. The role is very much an operational media role dealing with a range of media activity across both print and radio. The role will cover regional, national and international outlets across predominantly trade press.

The role

A not for profit education trust is looking for a media manager to help cover a period of maternity leave. The role is very much an operational media role dealing with a range of media activity across both print and radio. The role will cover regional, national and international outlets across predominantly trade press.

You will be working in a good-sized marketing team and this is a standalone role dealing with all of the proactive press. The organisation has a major milestone next year and the PR activity is anchored around that. You will be executing a multi-channel PR plan that has already been developed with a view of keeping the organisation in the trade press on a regular basis.

The role will involve work around copywriting and you will be writing different length pieces for publication. There will be a number of experts within the organisation that you will be relying on to help deliver content and allow you to create pieces that will resonate with the audience.

You will be managing the press across UK, Australia, China and the US with some work on some of the smaller markets. This is a fantastic role for someone who wants to get involved with a unique organisation that elicits real passion with its members.

The person

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following skills:

  • Strong proactive press experience ideally from either from a not for profit, education or membership organisation
  • Good copywriting and editing skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Some agency management experience would be useful
  • International experience would be beneficial
  • Good project management skills
  • Trade/ B2B press experience is essential.
